A shared sense of purpose and safety to become better versions of ourselves.
Our coworkers are at the heart of everything we do. We encourage people to take risks, push boundaries, and become better versions of ourselves through the work that we do.
That’s pretty easy to write, but incredibly difficult to implement. We recognize that we are not perfect but we use that recognition to lift each other up to work off of each other’s strengths.
We never stop learning, because to stop learning means to stop growing.
Since opening in 2017, we have learned a lot. We learned that independence means that we make the rules. It’s our freedom to craft without limits, to challenge the status quo. Grounded by our Guiding Principles, we hold true to our craft and our growing beer community.
When our coworkers are volunteering their time at local non-profits, they become an extension of our company with a shared belief that business can, and should be a catalyst for positive change within our community.
We believe that great beer is for everyone. We work really, really hard to make our taproom inclusive, welcoming, and safe for everyone who steps inside.
Working at Switchyard is not like working at most other places. How come? It’s hard to put a finger on any one thing that makes it the way it is, but when it comes right down to it, it really is all part of our culture!
Our coworkers tend to want to be part of something bigger than ourselves. We are inquisitive and want to grow and become better versions of ourselves. We have a strong internal drive. You can feel the pulse of our energy when you enter our taproom. The people who make up our team are the foundation upon which the ultimate success of our organization rests.
Above and beyond all else, working at Switchyard means making a serious commitment to learning about great beer, great food, and great service; we combine ongoing training and education to make you an expert in craft beer and the brewing process. We practice open-book management, providing coworkers access to our company financials and a clear view into our decision-making processes. We believe that the collective is stronger than the individual and that informed coworkers will make responsible decisions, encouraging a community of trust and mutual responsibility.

The Power To Spark Change and Eliminate Workplace Misconduct
We believe in creating a safe environment for all and empower our coworkers to speak up for themselves and for each other. Customers, vendors, distributors, suppliers, and coworkers deserve a safe and secure workplace. We know that harassment and misconduct exist everywhere and we want everyone to know they can safely and easily report these concerns and have them taken seriously.
We have made a commitment to say #NotMe to misconduct and silencing issues that matter to our coworkers. Every Switchyard Coworker has the #NotMe reporting platform in their pocket, providing a safe place to easily share concerns and issues as they arise.
